This AT&T angers me

Why am I not suprised that although AT&T claims me and my iPhone get “free” wifi at Starbucks, all I get is a message about how my number isn’t valid.

The same AT&T based number I’ve had for three years.

And with that, my short is rejected. Oh well. Not the first time, won’t be the last.

In other news, much thanks to veterans on this Veterans Day.

And it’s off

“The Devil’s Music” hath been submitted. Per Jim MacDonald’s rule, once the publication responds I am considered a VP graduate.

Thanks to all who read and helped critique the short.

Fingers crossed I get paid the moneys.

Whistling on the Internet

I wander into the darkness that is Twitter.

Worship my idleness here.

And Harpy Birthday (yes “harpy) Erin. You know who you are.

Trolling for dollars

I’ve begun my blitz to drum up freelance work. This is a new thing for me, but it could be helpful in many ways, not the least of which is the prospect of writing income. If I can string some freelance successes together I can contemplate writing for living, be it fiction or otherwise.

A couple of pieces have taken shape, and I’ve targeted a few markets that align with the topics. Fingers crossed.

And yes I know NaNoWriMo started. Motivation isn’t my problem right now. World-building and story arc dwarf my motivation problems. Oh well–practice, practice. Good luck, though, to my VP buddies who embarked on this project today.
