Moneymaker is my first novel, a future noir. I’ve worked the sucker over at Viable Paradise, and I am in the midst of rewrites.
What is Moneymaker about? I’m afraid it doesn’t pound home any classic literary themes like my high school English teachers used to get so excited about (I’m fairly sure there is no Christ imagery — sorry). At any rate, the blurb:
It’s the future, and Vegas is a stronghold of pure capitalism left isolated in a militant wasteland. Michael Kennedy works at the Vig, one of the biggest casinos on the Strip, and lives the best and messiest life money can buy. The best until his boss winds up dead under a half ton of horseflesh. Without protection, Kennedy is about to find his messy life exposed, and perhaps even snuffed out. He’d love to protect it all. He’s only facing one problem.
His stolen memories.
Kennedy faces the usual noir assortment of women, booze, hitmen, women, and booze, but confronts the additional betrayal of his own mind. It’s been fun to write, and I hope will be equally fun to read.
I’m open to generous publishing contracts and huge sacks of money embossed with large $$$s.
I’ll post up more tidbits and info as I can.
