The smallest blog post

Only in terms of significance. Much Internets ink is being spilt on the inauguration, and I have nothing poignant to add, so I’ll just go my own way and do what I usually do, which is talk about myself.

Amazing Novel Number Two still has a great “world”, in that I’m happy with the main character and most of the supporting cast and the world they inhabit. What I lack, and what you can apparently fake for about three chapters, is a plot. What happens that gets the characters from A to B to C and has expectations gap and character change and all that good stuff.

Seems to be missing in Amazing Novel Number Two. Crap. Methinks the writing is harder than I thought. Again. Where is that mindreading typewriter that Stephen King told me about?
