Rejection

I am shopping a new short story, and it’s been rejected twice now. I won’t lie–it’s painful the day it happens. But by a day later, I regard it–as trite as it sounds–as building character. A necessary resume builder. No writer’s first work is great enough to be accepted right off the bat. Why should I be different.

Everyone keeps telling me persistence is key. So, beware poor short story publishers. I will keep submitting.
