That’s not too bad. What I tell myself half-way into Chapter Five. It’s a good feeling to have.

I’ve sped up my editing, changing my approach yet again. I’m looking for high-level problems mostly, and just marking bad sentences and sound where I see them. I want to try and read the whole book as fast as possible, to get a sense for how it hangs together. Sentence level edits can wait. I don’t know if this is the “right” way, but then the “right” way is whatever works for me.
