The probable beginnings of a cold have combined with a general lethargy in my writing. It was a struggle to hit one thousand words that I would actually keep in the first draft. I must have spent four hours writing and re-writing the same three to four paragraphs.

Some days will be like this. But I stuck with it, took a couple of breaks, just laid down for a bit, and finally was able to get the “voice” back and produce something worthy of the first draft.

But still. This cold is going to wipe me out. I can feel it.
