The sounds of draft one

October 26th, 2007 · No Comments

For those interested, the music setting the tone for draft one. I’ve found music to play a big part in setting tone for what I’m writing. Some of these songs were played over and over for hours while I was writing a certain scene or set of scenes. But enough of my yakking. Let’s boogie.

• Rilo Kiley – The Moneymaker (ya think?)
• Jenny Lewis – You Are What You Love
• Collective Soul – Not the One
• The Dollyrots – Because I’m Awesome
• Massive Attack – Teardrop
• Frank Sinatra – In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning
• Santana ft. Chad Kroeger – Into the Night
• Foo Fighters – The Pretender
• The Killers – Mr. Brightside
• Everything by Brad Sucks, particularly Making Me Nervous, Bad Attraction, Borderline, Overreacting, and Dirtbag
